As a celebration of Record Store Day, duo The Noise and the Naive gave us a sneak preview ahead of their performance at Hit the North…
Established in 2008, Record Store Day celebrates independently owned record stores and recognises the importance of its culture within the music scene today. Newcastle’s number one place to go for vinyl, Beyond Vinyl was set up in 2017. The Noise and the Naive gave an exclusive performance at the record store, taking part in the annual celebration.
Newcastle based, French-born. The two women forming The Noise and the Naive are anything but orthodox. Giving us discordant and brazen punk, the duo smashed their live performance. With Anne on vocal duties as well as sporadic drum bangs, Pauline slices through on the guitar. The two meld together and transform into a fierce and powerful twosome.
Catch their live performance, ahead of their appearance at Hit the North on Sunday 5th May. Headliners at the festival include Jake Bugg, Tom Grennan, and Shame.
