Riding the crest of a resounding wave of momentum throughout 2022 and powering full steam ahead into '23, Midlands' indie sensation The Mercians have swiftly carved their place in the limelight.

It was a triumphant launch last March, followed by a spectacular sold-out summer headline show at the O2 Academy Leicester, and memorable performances at prestigious events like Kendal Calling. The crowning achievement was their full UK and Ireland support tour alongside former Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan – an aspiration countless new bands yearn for but rarely attain.

Drawing from their roots in Leicester, these working-class lads craft gritty, transparent, and relatable tracks that delve into real-life situations. Their debut single 'Dreamseller' exposed an industry conman who siphoned £8000 from the band's pockets. Subsequent singles explored themes of addiction and politics, delivering a high-energy twist. Their brand new single ‘BETTER ALONE’ joins the successful company of previous singles ‘IDM’ & ‘Polaroid’ topping the iTunes alternative chart within a day, and battling superstars at the top of the iTunes UK top 40. 3 number 1’s on the bounce has a nice ring to it…
