News: Catfish and the Bottlemen visit South Shields on ‘Longshot Video’

Catfish And The Bottlemen have finally dropped a brand new track! ‘Longshot’ is their first major release since their 2016 album ‘The Ride’…

The single shows that the band are in excellent form at the moment. ‘Longshot’ has that kind of upbeat, swagger-filled indie rock sound that just begs you for “just one more listen…” each time.

The band might have been busy touring and recording their highly anticipated third record but they have more than made up for lost time with the ‘Longshot’ video being released simultaneously.

The video even has a canny connection to the North East as it was shot on the cliff tops of South Shields. It was directed by Jim Canty who has previously worked with Catfish And The Bottlemen on the videos for ‘Twice’ and ‘Hourglass’ which featured actor Ewan McGregor.

Frontman Van McCann travels along the scenic coastline and makes it just in time to finish performing the song with the rest of the band.

Catfish And The Bottlemen have plenty of upcoming live shows in the pipeline for 2019. This February the band embark on a UK arena tour.
