News: Check Out The Latest Music Video From The Skints

London reggae fusion band The Skints have released a new video for their track ‘Restless ft. Protoje’. The track is taken from their recently released album ‘Swimming Lessons’…

Sonically, ‘Restless’ sees the quartet fully lean into their reggae roots. This especially summery sounding track confronts the public’s sense of distrust towards some of the slippery politicians of today.

The new music video takes the theme one further by also satirising 24 hour news television stations. Reggae artist Protoje also makes a cheeky cameo on the video just in time to perform his verse. Last year the artist was nominated for Best Reggae Album at The Grammys with his 2018 release ‘Matter Of Time’.

The subject matter of ‘Restless ‘ heavily contrasts with previous ‘Swimming Lessons’ release ‘Learning To Swim’, a cathartic ode to learning to cope with grief. However these two releases prove that the band can handle the political and the personal equally well.

To hear ‘Restless’, ‘Learning To Swim’ and more belters from The Skints’ back catalogue live then come down to Riverside, where the band will be playing on 19th October. It’ll be great to see you there!
