News: Homebound release ‘Change of Heart,’ off their upcoming EP

Lately Pop-punk quartet Homebound have been relentlessly putting out new music. The newest welcome addition to their catalogue is the explosive ‘Change of Heart.’ It comes not long after the band announced a brand new EP…

‘Change of Heart,’ was the first song Homebound had written for said EP, entitled ‘More to Me Than Misery.’

As if both of these new releases weren’t enough for fans, the band have already put out ‘Coming Clean.’ It is another track set to appear on ‘MTMTM,’ expected to drop on 17th August 2018.

When interviewed recently, lead singer Charlie Broughton, explained ‘Change of Heart,’ “Deals with the emotional exhaustion felt when you invest so much of yourself into something and continually have to pick yourself back up.”

It plays into deeper themes which will be explored on ‘More To Me Than Misery.’ According to Broughton, it “…draws on the many pitfalls when searching for happiness in love and life.” He also stated “We  treated the whole process like it was the last thing we might ever do as a band and I believe that’s made for the best collection of songs we’ve written to date.”

The release will be eagerly anticipated for this reason. Their last two efforts ‘The Mould You Build Yourself around,’ and ‘Permenance,’ were met with praise.

In other Homebound news, the boys will soon embark on their first headline tour.

It will be kicking off in our lovely city of Newcastle. The show is going to be at Think Tank? on August 27th. You can see the band play songs off ‘More To Me Than Misery,’ and their previous efforts in all their glory! Tickets are on sale now. Homebound are joined by special guests Modern Error.
