Bry originally performed under the name ‘Bribry’. Encouraged by his YouTube channel success, the singer saw the opportunity to take his music to the physical world.
He operated without a manager, booking agent or record label for four years. He would book a trip overseas, tweet his intention to perform in a certain spot, and then wait with his guitar to see who might show up.
This approach drew 80 people to Central Park in New York and 150 more to Singapore. This encouraged the singer to book tours of conventional venues and led to sell-out tours of Australia and the UK.
In 2016, Bry temporarily relocated to Los Angeles to work with producer Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Twenty One Pilots) on his debut full-length effort. The eponymous record ‘Bry’ was released in late 2016, and was led by singles ‘You’re Alright’ and ‘Don’t Go Alone.’
‘Bry’ shows off Bry’s talent in songwriting and creativity. Each song shows off the immense vocal talent of the young singer, his voice has a hint of his Irish brogue, which adds effect to each song, giving them a realistic vibe.
Bry opened for Twenty One Pilots on their European arena tour in late 2016 and returned to Europe in April for a sold out headline tour.
There couldn’t be a better time to see this rising star live, so make sure to see Bry at Newcastle on 24th May.
