After cancelling the original date back in October at the Wylam Brewery to make an appearance on Later with Jools Holland, North East fans of Nick Mulvey were left disappointed. However he is back in a few days time and is sure to more than make up for it.
Many questioned Mulvey’s decision to appear on Jools Holland when he had a scheduled date. Although, there was also an air of understanding as ‘Later…’ has a long standing history of supporting musicians new and old. Appearing on the show can also be a big break, or a reaffirmation of musical talent. In Mulvey’s case it could very well have been a bit of both.
Many original ticket holders will be in attendance and you can guarantee once Mulvey is on stage, all will be forgiven as it’s been said, “he is so much better live.” And true to that, the event is now SOLD OUT.
His latest album, ‘Wake Up Now,’ has received positive feedback. Of it, he says, “Naturally, this record reflects all that’s been happening in my life recently…The world seems to lacking in respect for the true value of life, for the planet, and for social justice. But seeds of hope are everywhere.”
Thursday night will reflect this statement too as those lucky enough to have got a ticket will finally get to see Mulvey bring ‘Wake Up Now,’ to life in the stunning setting of the Wylam Brewery.
