Dub-fuelled Reggae legends Pama International will have the whole of Newcastle skanking to their classic hits when they come to Think Tank? on January 18th. Come along to hear the musical veterans play some true ska and reggae on what will be an unforgettable evening…

Pama International are an 8 piece reggae band from the UK, self-coining their variation on the genre as ‘dub-fuelled ska rocksteady reggae.’ Forming in 2001, the band have released 10 studio albums, with their newest release ‘The Altruistic Soul Sound of…’ dropping in January 2019.

The band have produced some legendary tracks over the years, collaborating with may other ska, reggae and dub artists. Moreover, the band are certainly known for breaking boundaries, being the first new band in 30 years to sign to Trojan Records.

Pama International are fronted by musical veterans Finny and Sean Flowerdew; from bands The Loafers, Special Beat and Scooby & Skanga. In addition, Lynval Golding, original and current member of world famous 2 tone ska band The Specials, is a part of the lineup. Moreover, the bands lineup over the years has also included Madness’ own Lee Thompson. Alongside band members from Style Council, Galliano, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Steel Pulse and Pop Will Eat Itself.
