The tour is hot on the heels of the band’s latest EP ‘Paycheck.’ The EP contains the single ‘Come Home,’ which generated a great deal of hype from Rolling Stone to right here on little ol’ GNE.
This recognition comes rightfully. Pip Blom, masterminded by it’s eponymous frontwoman bring a refreshing spin on the overworked indie genre. Their brand is lo-fi with an unnerving but nonetheless addictive quality.
With regard to the band’s live performances, they have worked their way up from European pubs to epic festival appearances. This particular list includes Eurosonic to The Great Escape.
Just as amazingly, Pip Blom have filled in some big support slots on the Continent for The Breeders, Surfer Blood and Franz Ferdinand.
Another string that the band added to their bow earlier this year was when they played a live session in the iconic Maida Vale Studios for Huw Stephens.
For an act that has only been active for roughly two years, Pip Blom are truly conquering the world.
With the band’s latest chapter being their upcoming UK tour, you should make sure you check them out in Newcastle. The ‘Paycheck’ EP is still fresh and Pip Blom are on top of their game, poised for further growth.
