Newcastle based alt rock trio Ten Eighty Trees are playing Toon venue Think Tank? Underground on 20th April. Their new single ‘Lip Service’ dropped in February, and armed with loads of new tunes they’re set to put on an incredible show…

Tyneside trio Ten Eighty Trees are all north east natives and although some of their members now live in Sheffield, they make the commute to rehearse and play together!

The band formed back in 2017 when they all studied jazz at Sage Gateshead.

What was originally intended to be a one-off gig for St. Paddy’s day as an ensemble formed the basis for what then became Ten Eighty Trees.

The band cite Queens of the Stone Age, Reuben and Biffy Clyro as their biggest influences. You can hear echos of these inspiration’s in Ten Eighty Trees’ own music.

Their debut single dropped in April 2018, ‘Something Feral’; a track which blends strong melodies with thick guitars and danceable beats.
