The Luka State are a rock band from Winsford, Cheshire. The band are back after a few years of making new music with stellar new singles ‘Girl’ and ‘What’s My Problem’.

In 2013, the band released three singles and were quickly picked up by Vulture Hound, whom heralded them as ‘The Epitome of Rock’n’Roll.’

Following a lineup change with a new drummer, the band switched their sound. The classic rock’n’roll made more electronically enhanced. Their new tunes were highly praised, Clash highlighting the ‘epic guitars and contagious synth lines’.

The Luka State released their debut mini-album (EP) ‘The Price of Education’ in June 2015. The EP was self-released and mixed by the people who worked on Foo Fighters ‘The Colour and The Shape’.

The Luka State are Conrad Ellis (Lead vocals and guitar), Sam Bell (Backing Vocals and Bass), Jack Barnabas (drums and percussion) and Lewis Pursey (guitar).

The Luka State are playing a host of UK shows, including Newcastle’s Think Tank? Underground on 29th June.
